About Us

Founded in 2024 by Michael Horwood and Justin O’Neill, Generate Advisory provides Property and Development Advisory services to the Retirement Living and Aged Care sectors. The accommodation needs of older Australians are undergoing generational change as Baby Boomers re-define standards of Retirement Living and Aged Care.

We help providers to plan for this change by applying the Generate Framework, a structured approach to portfolio assessment, positioning, financial structure, design, and property development. If your organisation is considering how to match the properties in your portfolio with the needs of current and future residents, Generate is the outsourced solution providing property and development advisory services to manage that process.

Michael Horwood

Michael is a property executive with over 30 years’ experience in the Aged Care and Retirement Living Sectors. He has worked as a registered builder constructing villages and Aged Care homes and held executive positions leading teams in property strategy, acquisition, property development, and facilities management in organisations such as Regis, Stockland, and Lendlease.

Justin O'Neill

Justin is an award-winning architect with over 30 years' experience in the construction industry. Justin has particular expertise in the design and delivery of Aged Care and Retirement developments at all scales. Justin is a former member of the PCA Retirement Living Committee and is also currently Managing Director of O’Neill Architecture.
